The monotype printmaking process is both simple and rewarding for both the experienced artist and the beginner. It is spontaneous and immediate, with gratifying and, sometimes, surprising results.
Participants will work on an etching press using plexiglass plates, damp paper, and printer’s ink that is luminous and can produce layers of glowing color.
All ink, paper and cleaning supplies will be provided. Each participant will produce a number of prints. The cost of the workshop is $100, payable directly to the artist. Please register in advance by emailing newARTSpace at art@newartspace124.com. Registration is strictly limited, so don’t delay!
The two exhibitions, Force of Nature by Barbara Manger, and OCULUS by Stuart Rome will be on view from 1-5p.m. Entrance is always free and open to the public.
